THE SAUCE FINDS THE PERFECT BALANCE
Two iced teas.
Two completely different flavour combinations.
And one important test.
Could I actually taste everything listed in their names?
At TEACISION, the answer was yes.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
I visited TEACISION on a Sunday.
It was really quiet when I arrived, with only one person working, which gave the shop a calm and relaxed feel.
I also really liked the decor.
This didn’t feel like somewhere designed purely for collecting a drink and leaving.
It felt like somewhere I could sit for a while.
But first, I needed something to drink.
Or, in this case, two things.
I ordered the Mango Peach Green Tea and the Salted Caramel Coconut Black Tea.
Both iced.
Both with boba.
One fresh and fruity.
The other a little more indulgent.
MANGO PEACH GREEN TEA
The Mango Peach Green Tea was really refreshing.
Mango and peach sound like an obvious combination, but drinks with several flavours don’t always deliver everything they promise.
Sometimes one takes over.
Sometimes the other disappears completely.
That didn’t happen here.
I could taste the mango.
I could taste the peach.
And neither one pushed the other out of the drink.
It was fruity, light and really easy to drink.
Judging by how quickly it disappeared, perhaps a little too easy.
SALTED CARAMEL COCONUT BLACK TEA
The Salted Caramel Coconut Black Tea was completely different.
Salted caramel.
Coconut.
Black tea.
On paper, that combination sounded like it could become very sweet very quickly.
Instead, it was surprisingly well balanced.
The salted caramel and coconut were both subtle, but each flavour still came through clearly.
Neither dominated the drink.
And, importantly, it wasn’t overly sweet.
The black tea provided a stronger base than the Mango Peach Green Tea, while the salted caramel and coconut made it feel richer without becoming too heavy.
It felt more indulgent than the first drink.
But it remained light enough to keep drinking.
And once again, it didn’t last long.
THE BOBA
Both drinks came with boba.
The teas already had plenty of flavour, but the boba added another texture and made each one feel more like a treat than a standard iced tea.
It worked with both drinks, despite how different they were.
Fresh and fruity on one side.
Subtle and creamy on the other.
Boba in both.
Some decisions don’t need to be complicated.
THE VERDICT
TEACISION delivered two completely different drinks that shared the same biggest strength.
Balance.
The Mango Peach Green Tea tasted like both mango and peach.
The Salted Caramel Coconut Black Tea delivered salted caramel and coconut without allowing either flavour—or the sweetness—to take over.
Nothing tasted overpowering.
Nothing tasted artificial.
And nothing listed in the name went missing once the straw went in.
That sounds like a simple achievement.
It isn’t always.
Add in the calm atmosphere and decor, and TEACISION feels like somewhere worth returning to—not only to collect another drink, but to sit down and stay for a while.
There are still plenty of combinations left to try.
After this first visit, I’m ready to work through a few more.
