THE GREAT SCV COOKIE RUN — PART ONE
Lady Di’s Cookies
26882 The Old Rd, Valencia, CA 91381

SIX COOKIES. ONE HIGH BAR.
Six cookies.
Six different flavors.
And one SCV cookie showdown that immediately ran into a small problem.
The plan was to put Lady Di’s Cookies against DW Cookie Company and find out which shop came out on top.
But DW wasn’t open.
So the showdown will have to wait until tomorrow.
Lady Di’s, however, was ready.
And it has set the bar surprisingly high.
THE HALF-DOZEN
I ordered six different flavors to get a good mix:
Snickerdoodle
Chocolate Chip
Oreo Cave
White Chocolate Macadamia Nut
Reese’s Cup
Cookie Dough
I didn’t properly eat every single cookie.
That would have turned a taste test into a completely different kind of challenge.
But I tried enough to understand what Lady Di’s was doing.
And the first thing that stood out had nothing to do with the flavors.
THE FIRST PULL
The cookies were soft.
Rich.
And incredibly easy to pull apart.
Exactly how I like them.
These weren’t dry, overly crisp cookies that scattered crumbs across the table with every bite.
They had that slightly gooey, indulgent texture that makes a cookie feel more like a proper dessert.
Before the flavor competition had even started, Lady Di’s had already passed the texture test.
WHITE CHOCOLATE MACADAMIA NUT
The White Chocolate Macadamia Nut was one of the early standouts.
The white chocolate brought plenty of sweetness, while the macadamia nuts added some welcome texture.
Soft cookie.
Sweet chocolate.
A little crunch from the nuts.
Everything worked together nicely.
OREO CAVE
Then came the Oreo Cave.
Rich.
Chocolatey.
And much closer to a full dessert than a basic cookie.
This was another favorite from the box and one of the flavors that helped Lady Di’s make such a strong first impression.
If the name suggested something indulgent, the cookie delivered.
COOKIE DOUGH
The Cookie Dough continued the theme.
Soft.
Rich.
And very easy to keep eating.
It carried the same indulgent texture that ran through the other cookies I tried and gave Lady Di’s another strong entry in the box.
SNICKERDOODLE
I only tried a small piece of the Snickerdoodle, so this wasn’t the full investigation.
But what I tasted was soft and nicely spiced.
A promising first bite.
The rest will have to wait until I’m ready to reopen the box.
THE VERDICT — FOR NOW
Lady Di’s has set a high bar.
The cookies were soft, rich and exactly the style I enjoy.
From the flavors I tried, the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut and Oreo Cave made the biggest impression.
But there will be no official winner today.
This is only the first half of the SCV cookie showdown.
Tomorrow, I’ll be heading to DW Cookie Company after work to complete the comparison.
Lady Di’s has made the opening move.
Now we need to see if DW can answer it.
The Sauce has found a soft spot—but has it already found SCV’s winning cookie?
